I took this photo on my walk this morning. I live in Mountain Gate, which is across the street, and about a 10 minute walk to the Palm Springs Visitor Center. From the center, I walked about half way up the Tram Road, to keep in shape for this year’s Tram Road Challenge. Round trip from my doorstep took exactly 60 minutes.
The 29th Annual Palm Springs Tram Road Challenge is a 6K uphill run/walk presented by the Palm Springs Aerial Tram and Make a Difference Day.
For over 25 years, runners and walkers from around the world have been taking on the challenge. Participants climb 2000 vertical feet in just over 3.7 miles. This event benefits the United Way of the Desert.
The run/walk starts at the Visitor Center parking lot and ends at the Tramway valley station. Hope to see you there.
