A few days ago, I showed my buyer, Barbara, mobile homes in a 55+ senior community in Palm Springs, California. That’s me and Barbara in the photo above. As you can see, from the thermometer, the temperature that day was 120 degrees. Yikes!
Barbara needed to move right away and was very motivated, so we braved the extreme summer heat and she found her dream mobile home, that day. We made a full-price offer, but it was rejected.
Because this particular mobile home park is such a popular community, and there weren’t many other homes on the market at the time, the seller rejected my buyer’s loan offer and decided to wait for a cash offer. And she got it. A full-price cash offer, at that.
Barbara found another beautiful manufactured home in another nice park, but she was very disappointed to lose the mobile home she first fell in love with.
The moral of the story is that mobile homes in the desert are very hot these days–all year long–even in the summer, which traditionally has had less competition, due to the difficulty of house hunting in 100-plus degree weather. Because of the affordability of mobile and manufactured homes today, they are very popular and the heat no longer keeps buyers away in summer.
So, if you’re seriously looking for a manufactured home in Palm Springs, do yourself a favor and don’t wait until summer to start looking. Contact me today, to start your search while temps are still mild and the house hunting is much more pleasant.
