The Racquet Club Estates Neighborhood will be the location of NBC’s “American Dream Builders” home makeover this coming week. The show’s team of designers will renovate and decorate two Mid-Century Modern homes on Starr Road over six days, beginning Monday, October 7. This will be a full-scale construction project. Starr Road will be closed between Francis and East Desert Willow Circle, except for residents who live in that immediate area. Nate Berkus is the host of the show and we anticipate there will be people who want to see what’s going on. I expect most of the work will take place inside the homes, but if you want to watch from somewhere outside, there will be a viewing area from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. next Monday through Friday. Keep in mind there won’t be any food, water or bathrooms for the public. If you don’t live within walking distance, you should park on Francis Drive and walk in on Starr Road following the signs to the viewing area.
