The 10th Annual Idyllwild Historic Home Tour will be held this year on Saturday, September 18th, from 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission is $20 per person. To order tickets in advance, call the Idyllwild Historic Museum at 951-990-3909 or visit their website www.idyllwildareahistoricasociety.org. Refreshments will be served at the museum. Five distinctive mountain homes, showcasing the mountain’s diversity, will be open for touring.
LOCATION: The Idyllwild Area Historical Society Museum, located in a cabin at 54470 North Circle Drive.
DIRECTIONS: Idyllwild Village is approximately 50 miles from Palm Springs, the trip takes about an hour and fifteen minutes by car, from one downtown village to the other. From downtown Palm Springs, take Hwy. 111 to the I-10 freeway heading toward Los Angeles. Take the HARGRAVE ST exit toward IDYLLWILD and follow the signs.
INTERETSTING FACTS: The Idyllwild Area Historical Society Museum cabin and garage were built in the 1930’s and the cabin is representative of the architectural style of many early bungalows built in Southern California. For most of its life the cabin housed one family.
